The days activities will consist of a challenge football game where married men take on the Single lads within the parish and married ladies take on the single ladies.

Following the games outside the fun will continue in the hall where a Family Fortunes Theme night will take place followed by live music from The Hype.

Entrance fee for the night will be ?5 with a Donation going to the Marie Curie Cancer Relief.

A number of presentations will also take place on the night for the football winner?s and other spot prizes.

The club are hosting a challenge match between the Single Allstars Verses the Married Allstars. The aim of this game is to provide as a opportbunity for current players, past players, players friends, family, etc to meet up for a Days craic over the festive period, and give the lads an opportunity to answer a few argument, and maybe create a few new ones!!!.

The game is open to anyone with an interest in getting involved and we look forward to seeing a few new faces, the retired who are still good for 15 mins football or anyone who would like a game but just haven’t played in a while, and we welcome back any past players that may be visiting Desertmartin over Christmas. As most players are currently out of training it’s an ideal opportunity for anyone who may not have played in a while to get the boots on again and not look out of place.

The game will be followed by a social night in the Gaelic center, The night will have something for everyone with a Famialy Fortunes Theme game show followed by a live band. the music is provided by ‘The Hype’. A presentation to the winning teams will take place on the night with individual awards for the, top scorers, and players of the match (men and Ladies). If you would like to put your name forward or want more details, you can mail our web team, post our guest book, or contact any member of the committee.

We would also like to get the ladies team involved and welcome ideas, and encourage a few volunteers to come forward a help make this a fun day and a success for both groups of players.

Team Managers and exact Details of the event will be confirmed in the next few days, so get the boots out and come along and enjoy the day.
