Our seniors maintained their unbeaten record at home on Sunday against a much fancied Newbridge team. Having beaten us in all three meetings last year it was expected by most that the bridge would sail through this fixture too, especially after the martin's heavy defeat in the league last weekend away to Greenlough.

Things were not going to be that straight forward though and following a tight first half which saw the bridge lead by a point on a score line of 0.05 to 0.06, the matrin's put up a strong second half performance and when Ryan Kidd gave Desertmartin the lead with full time approaching it appears another fine home victory was on the cards. However the bridge battled well and got an equaliser in injury time to earn the point. Full time score Desertmartin 0.10 Newbridge 0.10
