The next couple to be interviewed for the eagerly anticipated Jigs and Reels was Anthony Bradley and Marian Martin who very kindly took a well deserved rest from breaking a sweat on the stage to talk to me for a few questions.
First interviewed was Anthony, and here is what he had to say:
Anthony, why did you join this years Jigs and Reels?
“Michael Mc Cann asked me too. Also, a big attraction like me would raise good money for the club.”
How would you best describe your partner?
“Just one word, Mad.”
What is your chances of winning?
“2/1 favourites on Paddy Power, worth a pound.”
Next interviewed was Marian Martin.
Marian, why did you join this years Jigs and Reels?
“A good bit of pressure, but mainly because it is for a good cause towards to club.
How would you best describe your partner?
“He doesn’t get easily stressed and is taking it in his stride.”
What is your chances of winning?
“……..Nil.”
(Good to see both partners agree that they are favourites…)
Next interview will be up in a couple of days time. Jigs and Reels is coming fast (19th March) so remember to book your tickets from any dancer soon to avoid disappointment.
