Folks Wednesday 21st June we will be having a send off for the Feile lads.
Strating from 7pm we will be showing the County final on the big screen. There will be hot food and sandwiches, and the lads will have their gear presented to them. On top of that they will get a blessing from Fr McGirr, and we will hold the draw for the big raffle, which has been very successful.
The club shop will open for a while for anyone looking to get kitted out for the weekend in Clones, and families can get an itinerary for travel, events, and general flow of the weekend.
Sounds like an action packed evening, so why not come along and mingle with the players and wish them good luck.
Well done to Beano McElhennon for his effort in the Walled City Marathon. He ran the race in a time of 4hours 27minutes, and even thought he wasn’t first across the line he was always a winner in our eye’s.
His Just Giving campaign brought in over £600 for the Feile, some man for one man.
A massive congratulations and thanks from all at the Club.
As many of you may know, 3 of our footballers, Ryan Henry, Connor Shield, Conor Murtagh are also going to the hurling Feile with Ballinascreen. As part of their fund raising activities the Screen are carrying out a sack collection for old clothes, shoes and beddings. See more on Ballinascreen’s Facebook page.
If you fancy a spring clean of the wardrobe, throw you stuff in a black bin bag and contact John Murtagh on 07876548648 and he will happily collect.
Let’s get behind our lads and give some support to our neighbouring club.
As we all know Beano is running the Derry Marathon to help raise funds for the Feile. He’s such a legend he’s already reached his target. Let’s see if we can’t push for a little more, you can still donate at just giving.
Go on Beano you big legend.
It’s great to see everyone getting behind our Feile 2017 heroes with the sponsorship drive.
The raffle prizes are being gathered up, and will include a signed AP McCoy picture, a £100 drinks voucher, £50 meal voucher for Belfast restaurant, and more…..
The tickets will be circulating in the next week or two and the draw will be made on Wed 21st June, a wee surprise for someone indeed.
Thanks to everyone who donated prizes, including LCC Oil.
