Young Guns Run up impressive score for Reserves against Coleraine.
The reserves put on another impressive performance running out
convincing winners on a score line of 5-20 to 0-03. Due to the loss of
players and Coleraine lack of cooperation to reschedule the games
The martins had no option but to call on the services of Minors and Under 16’s to step
up the grades and answer the call. Out of the 17 players used during the game 7 where Under 16.

quickly took control at Midfield with Adie Kelly, and John Paul Higgins
setting the pace of the game and controlling possession, The mix of
youth and experience worked well up front with Paul McFlynn netting two
goals and Paul McGovern 5 points under the close supervision of Adie
Bradley at full forward, Bradley was not to be outshone by the young
stars and soon got in on the scoring with a goal of his own in the
first half. As the game progressed it soon became obvious that
the result was no longer in doubt. Enda O’Hagan displayed composure
beyond his years scoring at will from play, converted a 45 , followed
up by a goal in the second half. In the Second Half Desertmartin
displayed the confidence to experiment with the two A Bradley’s
appearing to swap positions, at one stage Anthony making a guest
appearance in the full forward line and Adie helping out Shane at
fullback.
Overall it was a complete team performance with the home team
dominating most if not every position on the pitch, on the day the
young player showed that they were up for the challenge and not only
capable of playing reserve football but also pushing for positions in
the Senior team.
Turning on the style in defense where Connor Monaghan and Ryan Murray
and of course Christopher Bradley with a clean sheet in Goal
Team.
