Desertmartin 1-08 Ballinascreen 1-09
The Martins lost by the narrowest of margins to there local rivals Ballinascreen. It was a good team effort but with a small panel to pick from and no games or training for the past couple of months this was always going to be a tough one to win. The lads who did turn out battled well and almost forced the game into extra time, but for the wayward shot from Danny Murray in the final minutes. One memorable passage of play from the game that stands out was the Goal from Rory Murray although the finish may have been a punch into the net from the six yards box any goal scored be a full back is definitely something special.
