The club name may not ring any bells with our readers, yet! This year sees the 25th anniversary of St Lawrence?s GAA Club, Manchester.

St Martins have strong links with the club. Fr Emmett Fullen (RIP) and Kevin Fullen (RIP) both members of the 1953 county championship winning team being Founding Members of the Manchester based club.

As part of their celebrations St Lawrence?s are visiting Desertmartin on the weekend of the 30th April – 2nd May 2005. Accompanying several representatives from the clubs committee will be their current Under 10 and Under 16 teams.

Watch this space for a program of events for the weekend, and remember to show your support towards your own club and that of St Lawrence’s during the weekend.

For any of you wishing to get involved at a lower level for the weekend we’re asking for volunteers who could help out either with hosting 1 or 2
children in their homes for the duration of the visit, or helping out with the catering over this period. The teams will arrive on Saturday evening
30th at April approx 7pm and will be staying until Monday morning 2nd May.

For any of you interested in any of the above two activities, please contact either Danny McStravock or Seamus Fullen as soon as possible.
