Under 14’s beat Glenullin

The U14 Boys travelled to Glenullin on Tuesday 17th to play a league game on a very wet May evening. Despite the difficult conditions both sides served up a really sharp competitive game. Gerard Fullen opened the scoring with a point for Desertmartin to which Glenullin replied quickly with one for themselves.

Following a period of pressure Fearghal Bradley found the net for St Martin’s which was followed shortly by a point from Lachlan Murray to give the Saffrons a 1-2 to 0-1 half -time lead.

On the restart Glenullin scored three unanswered pointed frees to cut the deficit to one point. But Desertmartin pulled away with a good goal from Lachlan Murray. Glenullin rose to the challange and scored two more points to trail by only two entering the remaining few minutes of the game. But Lachlan Murray had the final say when he scored another point to leave Desertmartin winning 2-3 to 0-6.
