The annual Patrick Higgins tournament took place on a warm and sunny Saturday past. Teams in attendance included last years A shield winners Greenlough along with Balinascreen, Bellaghy, Castledawson, Magherafelt, Ballymaguigan, Swatragh and of course ourselves.

Following some highly entertaining and and closely contested group games and semi finals it was Ballymaguigan to face Greenlough in the B final followed by Bellaghy against Magherafelt in the A Final.

In both finals we were severed up some fantastic entertainment with Greenlough winning the B Shield and Magherafelt picking up the A Shield.

There were many outstanding performances on the day but it was Magherafelt’s Dáire McGlone who took the award for the player of the tournament.

Thanks to everyone involved or helped in any way to make the day the success it was.
